A Slice of Paradise: Kite Beach Center in Umm Al Quwain
Dear sun-chasers and sand-snobs,
Let’s get one thing straight: if your idea of a beach day involves battling crowds in Dubai while sipping a smoothie that costs as much as your flight, it’s time to reroute. About 45 minutes up the coast is Kite Beach Center in Umm Al Quwain — a coastal gem that feels more Sri Lanka surf shack than sterile resort brochure.
Here, the sand is actual sand — soft, pale. Hammocks sway like they’ve been rehearsing for a lifestyle shoot, and the sea just sits there, shimmering like it knows it’s underrated.
You can do all the usual sun-worshipping, of course. Or — if lying down for hours isn’t your thing — you can paddle through mangroves, try to stand on a surfboard without immediately falling off, or test your dignity on a slackline. There’s even a rustic beach gym if you feel the sudden urge to bench-press driftwood.
Hungry? Good. The pizza’s homemade, the juice is real, and you can eat it all with your feet in the sand and salt in your hair — the way beach lunches were meant to be.
Bonus points: your dog is invited. Yes, really. This is one of the rare spots in the UAE where muddy paws and wagging tails are part of life.
Just remember: they may photobomb your perfect sunset shot, and honestly? It’ll be better that way.
Working Hours: Monday to Sunday from 6AM to 10 PM
See you by the waves! 🌊☀️
