Neighborhood Cafe & Bar was my go-to sanctuary during a three-month project in Abu Dhabi — partly because it was just a stone’s throw from my Yas Island office, but mostly because of the vibe. Think cozy with attitude, fueled by a fantastic team that knows how to make you feel at home. Their shakshuka? One of the best in the UAE, hands down.

It’s the kind of place that shines brightest in the evening, especially if you roll in with a lively group of friends. There’s always something buzzing — laughter, music, the gentle clink of cocktail shakers. Speaking of which, the bartender is more of a drink whisperer. Don’t bother with the menu; just tell him what you feel like, and they’ll create a glassful of magic.
